Frequently Asked Questions
Find everything you need to know about buying, owning, and enjoying your holiday home with Broughton Leisure.
How much do holiday homes cost?
How long does it take for my new holiday home to be delivered to the park?
If your chosen holiday home is in stock and the park is ready to receive it, delivery can be arranged within just a week. If we’re ordering a specific model for you, delivery typically takes 8 to 12 weeks, depending on the manufacturer’s lead times and availability.
Can I add decking to my holiday home?
Yes - but this depends on the rules of the park where your holiday home is located. Some parks have specific guidelines regarding the size, style, or materials used. We recommend checking with your park operator before planning any additions.
Can I live in my holiday home all year round on a holiday park?
It depends on the site license. Some parks are for holiday use only, meaning you can’t live there full-time. Others may have residential licenses that allow year-round living. Always check this with the site owner or management before buying.
How can I upgrade my current holiday home?
Upgrading is simple! In most cases, we can offer a part exchange on your existing holiday home, whether you’re looking to upgrade to a brand-new model or a quality pre-owned unit. Just get in touch, and we’ll guide you through the options.
What are site fees, and how much are they?
Site fees are the annual cost of keeping your caravan on a specific plot on a holiday park. They can range from £2,000 to over £8,000 per year, depending on location, park facilities, and plot type.
Can I let friends and family use my caravan?
Yes, most parks allow you to share your caravan with family and friends, though some may ask you to notify them in advance or follow specific guest policies.
Are pets allowed in my caravan?
Most parks are pet-friendly, but always check the specific rules. Some parks may limit the number or type of pets, or have restrictions in certain areas (e.g. inside clubhouses or near play areas)
What is a caravan age limit and why does it matter?
Many parks have an age limit policy, usually 10 to 20 years - after which the caravan may need to be upgraded, sold, or removed. This helps parks maintain a certain standard. Some parks offer extension options if your caravan is well maintained.
